what is ehsaan?

Guide · updated 30 October 2026

ehsaan is a peer-to-peer marketplace in Pakistan where people buy and sell pre-loved clothing, footwear, accessories, lifestyle and home items. The buyer pays through ehsaan, not to the seller. Your money is held by ehsaan until you approve the parcel. It is starting in Karachi, as a closed, invite-only beta.

Who runs ehsaan?

ehsaan is run by Muhammad Suleman Farooqi as a sole proprietor, from Karachi. Phone, email and address are on the contact page.

ehsaan does not sell items itself. Each listing is one real item, photographed and described by the member selling it.

How does buying on ehsaan work?

Find a piece, buy it at the asking price or make an offer, and pay through ehsaan. A rider collects the parcel from the seller and delivers it to you. You check it, and only when you approve it is the money released to the seller.

If something is wrong, report a problem on the order within 48 hours of delivery, before you approve. ehsaan looks at what both sides send and decides whether the money goes back to you or on to the seller.

How does selling on ehsaan work?

Tap the plus in the bottom bar, add clear photos, a title, the price and the condition, and publish. Listing is free.

When a piece sells, the buyer has already paid ehsaan, so you know the money is there before the parcel leaves you. Once the buyer approves the parcel, 48 hours later the money is released to your ehsaan wallet, unless they report a problem in that time. It waits there for 72 hours, then you can ask to withdraw it to your bank account.

What does ehsaan cost?

Listing is free. On each order there is a flat Rs. 100 platform fee, split equally between the buyer and the seller; an escrow fee of 5% of the item price, paid by the buyer; and Rs. 320 for pickup and delivery, paid by the buyer. Sellers can also pay to boost a listing. Every fee is on the pricing page and shown before anyone pays.

Is ehsaan an app?

ehsaan runs in the browser at ehsaanapp.com, on a phone or a laptop, and can be added to your phone's home screen so it opens like an app.

How do you join ehsaan?

During the closed beta, join the waitlist at ehsaanapp.com/waitlist with your Instagram handle and email. Places are given out with a personal invite code. In the beta, features open in stages.

Is ehsaan the government's Ehsaas programme?

No. ehsaan, written in lowercase, is a thrift marketplace at ehsaanapp.com. It has nothing to do with the Ehsaas programme or any other organisation with a similar name.
